About Lavish Wallcoverings
We are a British Columbia wallcovering company built on a simple idea: that the walls of a room deserve the same care as the art hung on them. Fifteen years and six hundred projects later, that idea still runs the shop.
How We Started
Lavish Wallcoverings wasn’t built from an office. It was built on job sites.
It started with learning the wallcovering trade hands-on — measuring walls, preparing surfaces, understanding materials, hanging wallcoverings, working through difficult installations, and learning how much the smallest details matter in creating an exceptional finished product.
Project by project, we developed a deeper understanding of the trade and built the knowledge, skill and confidence that now shape the way Lavish Wallcoverings operates today.
We began taking on more complex projects and working with commercial wallcoverings, custom murals, hotels, high-rise developments, corridors, lobbies, amenity spaces, feature walls, acoustic finishes and specialty materials.
But Lavish has never been only about installing what arrives on site. We are involved from the beginning. We study architectural drawings and finish schedules, calculate quantities, prepare estimates, review manufacturer specifications, verify wall conditions and help determine the correct installation method before material ever touches the wall. We pay attention to pattern repeats, waste, seams, wall preparation, primers, adhesives and the many small details that can make or break an installation.
When something doesn’t look right on a project, we don’t simply cover it and move on. We look for the cause and find the proper solution.
That same mentality has pushed Lavish into another part of the industry: sourcing and developing wallcoverings and custom murals. We work directly on design, scale, colour, print quality and manufacturing so that what a client sees in a design is what we want them to experience on the finished wall.
Our goal has never been to remain simply another wallpaper installation company. We are building Lavish Wallcoverings to be a complete wallcovering company — capable of working alongside general contractors, designers, developers, hotels, commercial clients and homeowners from the early stages of a project through to the final installation.
